The meal out

 

Sat down in anticipation

Studying the menu so carefully

So many delicious choices

Orders a drink while we decide

Once we have chosen the meal

The chatting and laughter takes over

Then our hot meals arrive

Its heaven sent and wonderful

A hush engulfs the table

As the food is devoured

Munching, crunch

Such pleasure is had

Clean plate are left

While stomachs are full

Now time for a coffee

Then the journey home

So relaxing and pleasant

A lovely time for all.
