shimmering body
orange in the sunlight
fluttering slightly
in the gentle breeze
narrow veined wings
transparent to the eye
this dragonfly
warming in the sun
so spectacular
intricate patterns seen
delicate insect
beauty on the wing
with large compound eyes
aware of everything
life in the air
seldom seen up close
this creature of style
has its place in nature...
