Loss of a Loved One

it`s been many years now 

since the angels took you away

gave you wings and made you well

but I`ll never forget that day

I felt my world crumble

my heart ripped in two

left alone to carry on

how would I cope without you

through your love from afar

I slowly picked up the pieces

and the pain that I harbored

as they finally decreases

you walk each day beside me

holding my hand when I am low

so much to be grateful for

you`ve really helped me to grow

now matter how long I wait

to be with you once more
