Beyond the Battle....

where was the help when you where dying ?
hard to watch you suffer as you lost your fight
remembering the strong man I fell in love with
so full of vitality, optimism and light

to slowly see you weaken as the months went by
seemed so unfair to a family man like you
taking on these intrusive treatments
it was heart breaking what you went through

even after the day you lost your battle
your look of termination will stay with me
through now you are free from all torture
fly with the angels in pure tranquillity !
