Happy Pelican

a comical character is this pelican

 with an open mouth, he gives a shriek

 frolicking happily over the waves

enjoying the sunshine across his beak

such an amazing bird is this fella

with his unique personality

playful, funny with a cheery grin

never one for sheer normality
