Daft side of Christmas

running around like headless chickens

when buying gift for one and all

outdoing the neighbour`s lights

filling the larder with food

putting up the tree

eat turkey roast

drink some wine

knackered

sleep!!

Christmas Cheer!

It`s that time of year again
the excitement is growing
everyone has their secrets
there`s no sign of it slowing

Shopping bags and packages
sticky tape, and wrapping paper...
cards written and presents done
all this fun is such a caper

Decorations all in place
just love the atmosphere
raise you glass everyone

for Christmas time is here!

Villain of the night
Able to transform into a bat
Master of deceit 
Pale with no reflection
Incisors sharpened for the kill
Ready to draw blood to survive
Ever to remain youthful!

Toad`s poison and spider's webs
Cauldron brewing on the open fire
Haunting cackles can be heard

when ghouls and ghosts come out to play

lit lanterns and carved pumpkins

and eerie spider webs

as trick or treaters 

visit each home

dressed to scare

spooky
fun!

Through the warmth of my heart

the ink in my pen flows across the pages

The Flying Businessman

Pete the flying businessman

soaring through the skies

Paraffin Pete in his Cessna

every journey`s a surprise

living in Cirencester

giving life a positive call

working hard in Switchgears

instrumentations and all.

Pete has his claim to fame though

he schooled with our PM

learning with D Cameron

Wow!, are they buddies, then?

as Pete works hard and fast

his leisure time he needs

polo with its` chukkas

and pool, where he succeeds

Paraffin Pete, the flier

who always has a smile

say "Hi " if you meet him

our businessman with style.
