Summer Memories

sparkling light and fluffy feathers

a swish of breeze in sunny weathers

song birds singing from branches up high

blue skies, bright sun, oh for a gentle sigh

strawberries and cream served with lemonade

sat on a picnic blanket in the shade

children running, laughing all around

playing hide and seek until they`re found

shapes in the clouds or making daisy chains

watching the trails made by airplanes

these are the memories I hold so dear

wonderful summers from yesteryear!

forks of fiery light across the sky

illuminating the landscape

vivid electricity

follows a booming clash

through the darkness seen

heaviness felt

static storm

Going Bald for Cancer

Luscious long locks

to be shaven for cash

hair here today, then

all gone in a flash

going bald for cancer

is the order for the day

in memory of a father

helping others on way

sponsorship and raffle

working hard with this quest

supporting Cancer Research

think we`ve done our best

over £400 raised 

for a cause close to heart

now the hair has all gone

Moon

as the moon`s arc crosses the sky
surrounded by a million stars
ever travelling along it`s path
casting an eerie light over the earth
as onward through the heavens it goes...…!

Fish Eye

Through the darkness

light is spied ahead

murky object come into view

a watery scene meets the eye

what lies within half seen

come take a peek and watch

a mystery will unfold

creatures glide past you

catching a glimpse of colour

from deep within this world.

Bereavement....

The lose of a life is hard to bear
but the closer that person, oh the despair
feels like a piece of you has been ripped out
nothing to hold onto, but to weep and shout

the questions that linger upon your lips
as upside down your whole life now flips
it's difficult for the ones left behind
you try to gather all memories you can find

there's a great big hole where once love was found
now it's torn away, buried six feet under ground
bereavement is something people go through
a painful journey as you bide adieu

so as the grieving continues to flow
the love that you shared will constantly grow
though the loss of a loved one tears you apart
never fear, they will remain deep in your heart
