I came across this story from 17 years ago and found it fascinating that a cat and bear could become great friends.  This inspired me to write this little poem.

Pussy Cat visits the Zoo

Pussy cat pussy cat
          what did you do
I got on the bus
          to visit the zoo

Pussy cat pussy cat
          what did you there
looked at the animals
           smiled at a bear

Pussy cat pussy cat
            who did you see
long necked giraffes
             and a chimpanzee

Pussy cat pussy cat
             time to go home
made lots of memories
            you`re never alone

Hello is such a simple word that can start an amazing new adventure! So why not say "hello" this morning and see where it will lead you.

Bonjour, dia duit, hello to you
let's welcome in this brand new day
ciao, witam, how's it going mate!
I find ' Hi ' and smile - is the best way!

Mother Nature is all around us, sharing her beauty,  inspiration,  calmness and healing power. She wraps us in her love  🌿 🌸☀️

To be at one with nature
stirring the senses of the soul
wrapped in sounds and beauty
Mother Nature at her best

playful squirrels in the trees
swans glide across the water
trees attired in scented blossom
all mixed with children's laughter

Therapeutic Poetry

To lose a loved one can affect us in many different ways. We feel lost, angry, confused and alone - to name but a few emotions. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, so don`t be influenced by others.  Grieving is personal to yourself and your family, there is no time limit.

Each day is different, some are good and others are overwhelming emotions that are affected by simply things like, memories, objects, people and places.

Writing a poem is very therapeutic and can help you to express your feelings. Poetry can help release pressure that can build up through bereavement. By writing a few words, they don`t have to rhyme, can help you to move forward. A few lines hold a memory together. In time more poetry will flow and help you to blossom.

Why not have a go at writing a poem about your loved one, a memory to made together or about an emotion that you feel.

If you feel like sharing or just holding on to your poem close to your heart, that is perfect okay to do.  Give it a try and see how you feel as these are just to help you express your inner feelings.

Happy Writing

Just a little reflection on life in general, plain and simple!

Reflections of life

My Life is painted in words and pictures
each stage,  has it's own. chapter
no matter what I say or do
every event plays a major factor

for what I see in front of me
will affect it in different ways
the good times and the bad ones
depending how I manage my days

I may see things quite differently
and that is good and right
for if we were the same as others
who would help me see the light?

as I grow older, so life changes
I learn from my mistakes
so when new challenges arise
I strike and claim my stakes.

in my twilight years, I`ll reflect
looking back upon what I've done
writing the last chapter as I go
my life has been full of love and fun!

Dawn is a wonderful time of the day, where the darkness of night slowly grows into the brightness of day.  This photo was taken near Lacock in Wiltshire many years ago.

Dawn

As night slowly becomes the dawn
 nature's dimmer switch is turned
daylight streams over an eastern horizon
what will this morning bring forth
as earth wakes up to another day

I love chilling in my garden, it`s my little haven,  listening to the frog and bumble bees. Such comforting sounds. We have three different bees who visitthe flowers, miner bees,  tree bees and bumble bees.

 Humble Bumble Bee

To hear the distinctive buzz
of active bees in my garden
hovering from flower to flower
never "begging their pardon"

a livery of black and yellow
with four lacy opaque wings
hind legs heavily laden with pollen
gathered along its wanderings

from its antenna to its stinger
the sweet thing shows it`s beauty
spied amongst scented blossom
this little humble bumble bee
