I need a Hug Please!

I was asked if I was alright!
stopped for a moment to think.
No I`m not, was my reply
mental health is on the brink

anxiety has ravaged freely
imprisoning me from within
feel strange among people
but, should I take it on the chin?

no one seems to understand
its appears I`m always wrong
can`t do anything right at all
definitely lost my life-song!

so, the answer to your question
I`m not okay for I`m on my knees
my world is spinning all around me
I really need a hug now please!

Hello Autumn

Autumn arrives in a blaze of colours
nights get colder and days get shorter
crispiness felt under foot in the morning
welcomes in the year`s fourth quarter

trees put on their multi colours coats
bright red, orange and yellow attire
dancing merrily in the afternoon breeze
swirling, twirling higher and higher

walking through this golden landscape
in autumn colour`s cocoon of silence
a feeling of warm flows over the soul
even after summer season`s absence

to be amongst these gorgeous colours
run through leaves in boots for no reason
laugh, smile and enjoy every moment
come, say "hello" to this colourful season

Stormy Emotions

Sad words float up to the surface
tossed wildly in the turbulence
despair screaming through the storm
as the waves smoother everything
the cold chilling through to the bone
as the weather takes a turn for the worst

which direction will help come from
will any salvation arrive in time
not able to tread water much longer
disappearing slowly under the surface
for there`s nothing more to give
as these stormy emotions take me down !

Winter Fairy

As the winter Fairy stands
surveying her wintry horizon
snowflakes spin in the bitter breeze
for Jack Frost's dance has begun

a sparkle in her bright blue eyes
wrapped up in her warm red cape
through the grayness of the storm
she watches over the landscape

as winds ruffle frozen branches
singing their soulful lullaby
her smile lights up this cold season
for winter fairy is here to stay

 Reflections

Rolling clouds across the building
movement seen all around
sunshine brightening up the world
blocking out the street`s sound

it feels like an ocean liner
sailing through the city
on to destinations far
where will its harbour be?

illuminating blue skies
reflecting through my window
clouds like waves crashing by
this surf that`s seen from my pillow

as we sail in to the distance
watching all as we pass
feeling the movement of sea and sky
mirrored in our ship of glass

Unfair Humanity!

Laughter, joy and happiness
should be granted to every one
but sadly this is not always true
for there are those that know no fun

we should therefore be so grateful
that we're able to wear a bright smile
enjoy the pleasures of this life
and linger with friends awhile

for many, only pain and sorrow
are their only companions
no love is ever shown to them
for they have no champions

we humans can be a cruel race
some are greedy and unkind
stocking up more than is needed
oblivious to hardship, they're blind

what is needed now is love
all this selfishness to cease
some kindness and understanding
so humanity can live in peace

~d(-_-)b~

silence feels like isolation
locked away in solitude
trapping my mind in darkness

my veins throbbing wildly
hearing the pulse in my ears
wanting to be part of this madness

it only takes a little beat
to get my senses tingling
slowly dispersing the emptiness

music is the beat of my life
blasting away the cob webs
and shaking up the stillness

let the music rip through me
bringing my soul back to life
electrifying my happiness

Canine Soldier!

War Zones around the world
where man and dog work together
braving bombs and poisonous gas
plus snipers in all types of weather

they`re emotionally connected
and support their military squad
fighting against great tyranny
and enemies serving their god !

comrades in arms against the enemy
braving shrapnel from a bomb blast
each dog remains with their handler
doing more than they have been asked

the trust that is found between them
a bond that will not be betrayed
companionship that`s the strongest
at rest or defending the blockade

for man and dog united in a cause
standing proud together in armour
as they risk their lives to protect
serving our great country with honour

Jersey

Jerrais, once spoken and was useful during German occupancy
English sterling pounds is the currency, though pound notes, no coins
Red squirrels thrive on the island and a joy to watch them play
Seaweed fertiliser used to grow the famous Jersey Royal Potatoes
Essential Post Boxes were first used in St Helier in 1854 and were green
Yes, Jersey doubles in size twice a day at low tide, twice the beaches!

Peaceful Moment⭐⭐

Sitting quietly in the light of dusk, I am totally at peace with myself. I feel free from the misery of the day, as night wraps me in his loving arms as slowly the light of day fades.
Sounds all around, seem muted, under the night sky. I feel your presence here as you sit beside me but sadly this is, but a few quiet moments to spend time together - in my minds eye!   So I`ll enjoy watching the millions of bright dancing stars above us, for this is the time I feel so close to my soulmate and completely at peace.

Beauty in Death

In death such beauty
suspended in water
floating through coldness
this murdered daughter

 lovely stolen angel
pale in complexion
unseeing blue eyes
no more affection

beauty seen in death
long swirling blond hair
lips never to be kissed
there`s no one to care

smoky wisps of mist
under the moon light
she`s silently moves
on through the still night

life force was taken
yet beauty remains
this angel in death
enters new domains

Cup of Kindness

Something we should bare in mind,
a little piece of humble pie
is always a good thing to have,
with a forgiving heart nearby.
this world is a harsh place to live
brutality is all around
some people don`t care who they hurt
sometimes there`s little love to be found
so lets share a cup of kindness
forgive and help those where we can
a little love travels a long way
at least that's going be my plan!

Lacy Tears

In this quiet moment
at a point in time
caught on the edge
beauty so sublime

tears hang suspended
tiny lace patterns seen
droplets of emotions
upon this leaf once so green

balanced in mid air
transparent in the light
nature`s weeping heart
captured at it`s height

wept tears from the soul
expressions flowing deep
nature shows such beauty
treasures we should keep

intricate designs
so pleasing to the eye
mother earth`s creation
teardrops and lace, I spy!

Never..

piercing pain felt deep
never deminishes
eating away at my soul
never to feel safe
within your loving arms
never to hear
tender whispers in my ear
never to see you
walk through the front door
call out my name
and give me a mighty hug!

Anxiety

strong feeling of falling
total isolation
surrounded by silence
 full of emotion

loneliness takes over
 future appears bleak
sorrows weighing heavy
feel unable to speak

an anxiety fills the soul
engulfed in darkness
wrapped in deep sorrow
this world is heartless

Eye of the Web

Spirals of shimmering silk threads
with central spokes that holds it tight
this web is hung from it`s branch anchors
caught in the early morning sunlight

a deadly trap to catch a spider`s meal
this all 'seeing eye' amongst the trees
nature`s amazing artwork is beautiful
an ingenious arachnid waits at its ease
