Jigsaw Puzzles

Inter locking pieces
fitting nicely together
as the puzzle comes to life
creating lovely pictures

All the different colours
blues, reds, yellows and greens
each piece revealing more
of the beautiful scenes

Some bits are deceptive
not every piece will fit
but as you slowly get there
you will find the right bit

So when it is complete
and the box is all clear
your pride will really show
the full puzzle to appear

Pain felt deep down inside
pulsating at your soul
ripping wildly through you
your body will never be the same
as the aches and pains continue
eating away at your inner peace
where do you go with this
can it ever be stopped?
who knows that answer.......

love feels uncomfortable
your the pain is so intense
trust is very difficult
will you ever recover
this uncertainty is not good
for the constant pain
eats away at you
not sure what will be left......

so as you hold your shrivelled heart
and plead for someone to help
your dark sunken eyes
praying for some kindness
wanting to rebuild your life
take away all this pain
to soothe your pulsating soul
and mend your broke heart


There is always hope.....

New friendships

wow what a grand day I've had
met my friends Les and Mark and Phil
made me feel so welcome
their friendship really fits the bill

Afternoon in Exmouth with Phil
walking by the sandy beach
chatting about everything
no topic was out of reach

We pottered about the shops
laughing and joking all the day
even shared a Devon cream tea
and nearly got lost around the bay

Then back to peaceful Sandford
for a nice cup of tea and chat
while we all get to know each other
and not forgetting their cats

We decided to go for a meal
and settled on a lovely place
Mark kindly drove us all there
with his wonderful charm and grace

The meal was so delicious
its great we all get on so well
then we went back to Sandford
after a chat, we said a fond farewell

This is a day I will not forget
as I have three great new friends
can`t want for next get together
a great friendship that never ends

Angels

we all have an angels
that guides us along our way
but sadly some can`t see theirs
which is a sorrowful day.

They`re there to protect us
and to keep us all in line
but this is done so cheerfully
so we know that will be fine.

their soft white feathered wings
can wrap around us so tight
guarding us from the evils of life
and help all things to be right

so never forget your angel
for its important to you
this heavenly angel is yours
will help you your whole life through...

I love angels and all that they do for us......!

Spring Time

Apple blossom 
sweet smelling tulips
frog`s eggs in the pond
all signs that spring is here
bluebells and caterpillars
the gardens come to life
longer days and shorter nights
sitting out in the evening sun
listening to the bird calls
watching the cats play
relaxing in the sunshine
enjoying this spring time!

The New Inn

Nestled in a small hidden dip
lies a quaint little Inn
thatched roof on white painted walls
a great retreat in my opinion

Many centuries old it stands
as sturdy as the day it was built
some where for the traveller to rest
before they tire and finally wilt

Timber beams stretch across the ceilings
gives the place some charm and character
nice cup of tea and a warm bed too
and this is for me the main factor.

Down in the warm friendly bar
great food and beverage is served
don`t forget to hello to Captain
rave revues are greatly deserved

After a long hard day of driving
its great to know I can stop and rest
for here in mid Devon I think you`ll find
The New Inn is certainly the best

Depression

Depression

Black on black through utter darkness
spiraling black holes pierce my soul
a void that can not be filled in
sadly I will never be whole

Anger raging through my system
causing an emotional flood
through this sad and torn heart
slowly oozing thick rich red blood

As all my will power drains away
life seems unworthy to behold
so let this existence depart
from this harsh and unyielding world

Sad times

I am sat here alone with tears
rolling slowly down my cheek
wondering what I've done
all this stress makes me feel so weak

You come across so aggressive
this is unsettling and sad
I am really not against you
so please don`t make out I am that bad

Can we please get on together
no more arguments and fights
for all this is tearing us a part
you know that all of this is`t right

So now`s its time for us to make up
there`s much to look forward too
so let`s put all this behind us now
you have a future in front of you!


When times are hard and you feel down, remember your friends
and family are always there for you .....!
