Bumblehogs


Bumblehogs are special creatures
half a hedgehog and half a bee
bright eyed and dressed in stripes 
such an amazing sight to see

these unique little treasures
found roaming both day and night
on the ground or with the flowers
Bumblehogs make the garden right!

notes dancing

across the room

rhythmic beats

filling the air

the heart skips

as the feet tap

starlight in the eyes

sparkling bright

crotchets on pages

forming new tunes

dancing through time

creating music

to lift the soul

holding all together

smiles around

it`s party time!

Eye in the sky

As darkness falls
with the setting sun
this blood red moon
can begin it`s run

so large and eerie
silent as it goes
caught in earth`s shadow
as onward it flows

Twinkling Stars

For each star that twinkles
high up in the night sky
a soul smiles contently
with a sparkle from on high

shimmering in the dark 
an illuminating sight
from across the horizon
until the morning light

Shafts of light

Silence felt throughout the halls
dust dances in the shaft so bright
shining down from high above
piercing the darkness with light

walking slowly through this place
majestic in its beauty
passing within the rays of light
keepers fulfilling their duty

those tall stone columns like trees
standing proud in the slanting rays
warming up slowly to the touch
linking earth to heaven each day.

Best Friends...

You are far more than a pet
for you`re a family friend
there by my side when needed
we`ll be together to the end

you help me throughout my life
showing amazing devotion
reading my moods as I go
understand my emotion

one special companion
guiding me along life`s way
you are my eyes in this world
so glad you joined me on that day

although I may not tell you this
I appreciate all that you do
feeling so lucky every day 
to have a friend just like you !

Dearest Steve

My dearest loving husband
on this, our special day
I feel you so close to me
in each and every way

I miss you cheeky laughter
being held in your arms
and the sparkle in your eyes
all your sweetness and charms

let us walk down the street
running through the tall grass
swaying in the summer breeze
just a young lad and his lass

oh Steve. remembering our day!
lets celebrate together
well at least in my dreams
love you always and forever !

Doggy Slumber

At the end of a hard day of fun

it`s time to get some shut eye

dreaming of all the chasing today

and that cheeky cat on high

now you`ve tucked me up in my bed

I can sleep soundly through the night

and while I rest my weary paws

be so kind and turn off the light !
