Pink Snow

pink snow falling softly

hovering slowly in the air

silently drifting to the ground

covering all with out a care

with soft sweet scent about

filling the atmosphere

Mother natures is stirring

spring time must be here

bees buzzing amongst flowers

collecting nectar for their hive

as the air is filled with pollen

everything feels so alive

for spring, glorious spring

has arrived at last

pink snow followed by fruit

nature is full of contrast

Beautifully kept beach, seven miles of gorgeous golden sands

Oceanarium, fun filled experience from reef sharks to feeding turtles

Ultimate experience and great views from the Bournemouth Big Wheel

Reputation as a health resort and one of the sunny spots in the UK

New Forest, is an outstanding area to roam and explore among the ponies

Every year over 750,000 ice creams of many different flavours are sold

Most loved colourful beach huts along the sea front are highly prized

Old Harry Rocks, chalky headland stretching out into the sea

Used to be barren heathland for pirate smugglers until the 19th century

Thanks to its consistent waves and sandy beach, it`s a great place to surf

Moon

as the moon`s arc crosses the sky

surrounded by a million stars

ever travelling along its path

casting an eerie light over the earth

as onward through the heavens it goes....!

Chivalrous knights 

This gallery of nobles

dressed in their finery

seated around the king

regal colours and ivory

knights dressed in armour

attendants ever ready

this tournament is set

atmosphere so heady

to win the great reward

young men to prove their worth

facing the king`s champion

this is their right since birth

the sounds of thunderous hooves

and mighty horses racing past

followed by clash of lances

their reactions need to be fast

defeated, the losers leave

the triumphant knights celebrate

with honours bestowed by the king

new champion they nominate

loud cheers of excited crowds

after the joust has been won

so let the feast commence

this kingdom will have some fun!

Orkney Waters

found in the waters of the North Sea

an archipelago of islands of Orkney

full of mysteries and many traditions

from nature to modern technology

in the distance a cruise ship is moored

floating proud above the island

with holiday makers ready to explore

their invasion very close to hand

as the cormorant take to the sky

souring high over land and ocean

viewing the world through keen eyes

elegant beauty in powerful motion

while below, a cold steel cruise liner

remains afloat off in the distance

lucrative tourism for Orkney

wilderness verses human persistence
