Disappearing Elephants


gentle strides along well worn trails
these majestic creatures travel
silently linked, trunks to tails
a sight we should all marvel

but sadly in this day and age
it`s happening more infrequently
and this should cause outrage
yet they`re continually killed secretly

with such loving soulful eyes
deep rumbling to show affection
kind and proud and oh so wise
these animals need our protection
