Heightened Emotions....

Tensions running high

the air thick with emotion

silence felt hard against us

love is like a deadly potion

Unable to read your mind

as you sit across the table

your features hidden in shadow 

friction makes us so unstable 

Your eyes ever watchful

they reflect the candle light

passion heightened, what will be

at this lateness of the night ?
