Tiny Petals

Tiny petals peeping through the earth

slowly opening up to the sun

stretching out for all to see

showing off to everyone

their perfume scent so delicate

caught in the summer breeze
wafting around so gently

nestled there under the trees

as night time begins to take a hold

there`s a chill in the air

as their petals start to close 

a stillness found everywhere
