Hello Autumn

Autumn arrives in a blaze of colours

nights get colder and days get shorter

crispiness felt under foot in the morning

welcomes in the year`s fourth quarter

trees put on their multi colours coats

bright red, orange and yellow attire

dancing merrily in the afternoon breeze
swirling, twirling higher and higher

walking through this golden landscape
in autumn colour`s cocoon of silence
a feeling of warm flows over the soul
even after summer season`s absence 

to be amongst these gorgeous colours
run through leaves in boots for no reason
laugh, smile and enjoy every moment
come, say "hello" to this colourful season

Tracing Tears

Silence can be so painful

chilling me to the bone

shaking with sheer anger

as I sit here so alone

the house feels very cold

all  life`s been sucked out

only a ticking clock heard

filling my heart with doubt

sadness seeps through my veins

no one for me to see or call

shivers cause through my soul

tracing my tears as they fall

Heavenly Moment

rich aromas of chocolate

with soft creamy froth

steamy hot and smooth

heaven in a mug

relaxing all the senses

soothing away the day

crisp crunch of biscuit 

bitter against this sweetness

that angelic moment 

taste of heavenly bliss!

Disappearing Snow Leopard

       A desolate snow covered landscape 

where strong winds blast the rock face

with very little vegetation

what could survive in this cold place ?

this is a harsh environment

steep imposing cliffs meet the ground

where habitats give good camouflage

rare snow leopards maybe found

with lush thick white and yellow fur

marked by ringed spots of black on brown

watching all with such light green eyes

planning to bring their next prey down

snow leopards have beautifully long tails

paws adapted to walk on deep snow

able to ambush unsuspecting prey

by chasing down before the fatal blow

mostly active between dawn and dusk

this silent big cat that can`t roar

solitary by nature, `til breeding

their survival we must ensure

sadly these majestic creatures

are becoming such a rare sight

with the loss of their range and hunting

this means they are losing their fight

Cheeky Squirrels

 a quick glimpse of a fluffy tail

flickering amongst the trees 

scurrying up and down trunks

scampering through the leaves

these sweet innocent creatures

are not all that they appear!

they`re mischievously cheeky

and trouble when they`re near

watching their playful romping

searching for their winter hoard

burying them yet forgetting where

there`s plenty of nuts to be stored

as nature dresses up for autumn

these cheeky squirrels do not care

for each day is filled with playtime

as they race around everywhere!

Unique abundance of colour

Time to enjoy nature`s harvest

Unwind in autumns beauty

Mug of soothing pumpkin latte

My Spot

Here on this spot

is where I will rest

watching life go by

from this step is best

it`s comfy sat here

half way up the stairs

I`m all stretched out

better than on the chairs

can safely snooze on

observing contently

always looking my best

while purring gently

aware of all events

up stairs and below

for this step`s great fun

and I enjoy life`s show!!

Life force of the planet

breaths through motions

heart beat of mystery

ebb and flow of the oceans

with each tidal cycle

rushing in from the deep

then back under the surface

for these waters never sleep

froth crested waves crashing

upon rolling golden sands

filling hidden rockpools

shaping earth`s coastlands

Depression

I have been told

I suffer from depression

mental health

they say

emotional

unstable

well....

that`s not me I`m sure

just being a mother

can get you down

mental stress

more like it

exhaustion

memory loss

need....

a little attention

when times are hard

a helping hand counts

mental friction

loss of confidence

need new start

love and hugs

see....

I've now got it sussed

a little help

goes such a long way

mental care

a kind gesture

relaxation

chilling time

so...

we`re working together
