Blue Eyes

It's cold out there today

for autumn`s here to stay

wrapped up mitts and scarf

watching the children laugh

trees in their finest colours

leaves bright just like flowers

look there`s a pile over there   

leaves raked up in the square

oh! there`s movement I can see

wondering what that could be

a pair of bright eyes stare out

goodness I nearly gave a shout

what can I see with my little eye

is that a wagging tail I spy

my cheeky little doggy friend

think I better go and  apprehend

before he goes and messes that pile

though it would make me smile!

I love the colours of autumn time

now I'm happy to end my rhyme!!
