Good Night !

time to settle down to sleep
as the moon watches over you
and the stars twinkle brightly
until morning light shines through

Decision Time.

I had a shower
and washed my hair
put a dress on
but you weren't there !

sipped my coffee
and had a think
decision made
with a little wink

so all made up
a wondrous sight
heading off out
for a fun packed night !!

Starry Night

Tucked up in a blanket of blue sky

under the lights of a thousand stars

each soul may sleep soundly tonight

dreaming of a paradise that`s ours

twinkling stars lighting up the sky

reassuring us of a peaceful night

quietening the heart and soul

waking refreshed in the morning light

Alone ….

As tears run down my face
I realise that I`m alone
no one here to support me
such pain I`ve never known

you`re not here to hug me
comfort my aching heart
show me love and kindness
for my world`s been torn apart

Timothy, an army explosive sniffer dog, wears the helmet of a soldier who placed it on his head at the site of a car loaded with explosives that was detonated by an army anti-bomb squad in Pradera, southwestern Colombia in 2012.

Canine Soldier.!

War Zones around the world
where man and dog work together
braving bombs and poisonous gas
plus snipers in all types of weather

they`re emotionally connected
and support their military squad
fighting against great tyranny
and enemies serving their god !

comrades in arms against the enemy
braving shrapnel from a bomb blast
each dog remains with their handler
doing more then they have been asked

the trust that is found between them
a bond that will not be betrayed
companionship that`s the strongest
at rest or defending the blockade

for man and dog united in a cause

standing proud together in armour
as they risk their lives to protect
serving our great country with honour

Bedtime.....!

Night creeps in through a key hole
and takes me by surprise
street lights luminate outside
while my bed now beckons from the dark
as I slowly climb the stairs to slumber....!

Good Night

Its time settle down to sleep
after such a fun packed Sunday
playing games out in the garden
can't believe it'll soon be Monday

just found a really comfy spot
so all stretched out with eyes closed tight
time to dream of new adventures
therefore I'll wish you all Good Night !
