Old Banger

This old banger has far to go

dented bumpers and a cracked window

spluttering along the city road

pausing just to shop and load

chipped paint, and a smoky exhaust

all filled up and ready to burst

it maybe a small and noisy clanger

but we all adore our little banger

Lawn Bowls

On a smooth flat green ,all dressed in white

balls at the ready, let the game begin

taking turns to roll nearest to the jack

a pleasurable day, ending up with a win!

Mr Badger

Well hello Mr Badge
so nice to meet you today
with your stripy colours
it`s time to be on your way

from the warmth of your burrow
to the coolness of the night
now it`s time to go a-hunting
until the dawn brings the light

off you scuttle along the track
sniffing and digging as you go
where will you end up tonight
I`m not sure you really know

 as the sun starts it`s journey
and the world begins it`s new day
I`ll say goodnight Mr Badger
let you sleep and be on my way !!

Recipe For The Day

Start your day off with a cup of coffee

spoon in some happiness and love

add whipped cream of mystery

shake on chocolate from above

With this you should also have

a bowl of energy and fun

pour on the milk of strength and wit

for now your day has just begun

To really finish of this treat

you`ll need some hot and crunchy toast

spread with some caring harmony

with this you`ll reach the winning post!!

Crossroads

there turmoil in my life

but I know you`re around

I feel you in my heart

 yet you`re 6 feet under ground

watch over your family

at this moment in time

as we try to carry on

surely this is not a crime

I find myself at a crossroads
not sure which way to go
should I stay on this path
or take a risk and follow

my heart ......

I stand here   waiting

as you walked on by
should I jump up and down
wave my hands in the air
would you see me then?
no reaction seen

you didn`t flinch
just stared ahead
as you walked on by
am I invisible?
think the answers … yes!

Avon calling....!

Ding dong, there`s the bell

hope Avon`s come to call

to show me a new brochure

can`t wait to see it all

It feels like Christmas

every time she`s here

sat with her tea, goodies

from her bag appear

Creams, perfumes, makeup

displayed for me to see

all looking great,  even

watches and jewellery

With so much to try

we can test and smell

all are spoilt for choice

don`t want to break this spell

When all the orders are in

and everything`s all done

we say our farewells

this time`s been such fun!

Really enjoyed this morning

I was so impressed

can`t wait for my order

Avon, you is the best!
