Jack and Jill

Jack and Jill went down the hill
to fetch some cider for father
they met Tom Thumb 
playing his drum
and decided to go no further !

Humpty Dumpty sat in a bench

reading his book about the big sea
he looked up with see
with so much glee
Jack, Jill and Tom as happy as can be

They all walked down together

as the sun was starting to set

it`d been a good day

in every way

they`ll remain best friends forever!

Bumblehogs

Bumblehogs are special creatures

half a hedgehog and half a bee

bright eyed and dressed in stripes 

such an amazing sight to see

these unique little treasures

found roaming both day and night

on the ground or with the flowers

Cats and kittens sleep wherever they feel comfy and a teddy bear is a perfect spot.

 

Teddy Bears and Kitten

Teddy bears and kitten

are sleeping on my bed

hard to tell them apart

so still, they could be dead

The teddies just sit there

while kitten purr away

breathing so steadily

she sleeps throughout the day

Teddies are protective

with their arms open wide

smiling at this kitten

that has curled up there to hide

They all look contented

she collar is a bright red

Childhood Memories

The little things remembered
when once I was a child
of using our imaginations
how we laughed and smiled

Waiting at the village green
for the school bus to come our way
no computers or mobiles seen
chalk boards, the order of the day

After all the chores were done
we played outside in all weather
go-karts, rounders or hide-n-seek
as long as our gang was together

Our pocket money seemed a lot
down the sweet shop with our friends
blackjacks and lemon sherbets
all stocked up for weekends

Sleep overs and picnics
or helping out on the farm
getting muddy or a cut knee
all was good, no need for alarm

It`s a shame it`s not like that now
kids seem to grow up too fast
they should hold on to their childhood
enjoy themselves and make it last

Stormy Emotions 

Sad words float up to the surface

tossed wildly in the turbulence

despair screaming through the storm

as the waves smoother everything

the cold chilling through to the bone

as the weather takes a turn for the worst

which direction will help come from

will any salvation arrive in time 

not able to tread water much longer

disappearing slowly under the surface

for there`s nothing more to give

as these stormy emotions take me down !

Little Friendship Bear
In his colourful rainbow style
here to brighten up your day
with his laughter and a smile

he`s soft, gentle and caring
 so hold on to him nice and tight
for he will keep you company
through each and every night!

Just a little reflection on life in general, plain and simple!

Reflections of life

My Life is painted in words and pictures

each part of it`s a chapter

no matter what I say or do

every event plays a major factor

for what I see in front of me

will affect it in different ways

the good times and the bad ones

depending how I manage my days

I may see things quite differently

and that is good and right

for if we were the same as others

who would help me see the light?

as I grow older, so life changes

I learn from my mistakes

so when new challenges arise

I strike and claim my stakes.

in my twilight years, I`ll reflect

looking back upon what I've done

writing the last chapter as I go

my life has been full of love and fun!
