My Bunch of Tulips.

Some tulips for my heart

Sweet scented just for me

Rich colours of the petals

Help me to feel happy

Tight buds wrapped in paper

Their green leaves peeping through

Catches my eye, warms my heart

A gift just for me, from you!

My favourite flowers that I love to receive !!

notes dancing

across the room

rhythmic beats

filling the air

the heart skips

as the feet tap

starlight in the eyes

sparkling bright

crotchets on pages

forming new tunes

dancing through time

creating music

to lift the soul

holding all together

smiles around

it`s party time!

Trapped!

Feel trapped at this time

no where to escape 

surrounded by chains

this warlike landscape

A whole world out there
yearning to be seen
mountains, seas and meadows
all waiting so serene

Sceneries viewed through chains
this feels really bizarre
links obscuring the sunset
that's glimpsed from afar

Freedom is so desired
to run free through the world
sun warming everything seen
panoramic view unfurled

Defender the Cat

Intruder alert

there's something not right

for sat in the midst

very strange and bright

suspended in liquid

reflection visible

this alien world

good or terrible?

our warrior stands
so proud and so tall
all ready to pounce
and defend us all

what lies within
this watery sphere
will our defender
strike without fear?

stood on his hind legs
paws stretched out to splat
should he now attack
this defender cat

Todays the day, no ime to feel low

vans loaded up, off the Bristol you go!
as you drive down the motorway
on this sunny spring Saturday

A new chapter has now begun
independence is what you've won
through all your determination
Kingswood is your destination

Bringing with you all your memories
 your future holds many mysteries
moving home can be so stressful
with team work we'll make it successful

exciting times on your life's journey

being nearer to your cherished friends
here's to the good times, hope it never ends!!

I wrote this for a lovely young lady on the occasion of her moving down to live in Bristol.

Silence amongst  family 
It is strange......
I feel so lonely
though many are around

In my home
my family's here
yet never with me

To sit here alone
it saddens me
as they laugh and play

I hear them
in their own worlds
pursuing all their dreams

Feeling happy
they have their desires
even though I don't have mine

It's still strange
our differences
are what makes us unique!!

Please, not again....!

Head spinning from panic
heart racing with sheer fear
at the look upon your face
as if death was really near

To watch you suffering
from pain within your chest
gripping your entire body
this suffering, I detest!

To see how scared you are
really tugs at my heart strings
wanting to take this all away
so you can get on with things

Memories come flooding back
of another loss I felt
so determined to keep you safe
suffering from what you've been dealt

Holding your hand in comfort
soothing your fearful brow
gently calm your beating heart
from troubles I just won't allow!
