Angel

Soft coloured hues
these tender feathers
gentle touches
as they flutter by
caressing my skin
in a warm embrace
empowering love
through strong wings
hints of passion
among the clouds
white silk cloth
brushes past me
protection offered
lovingly given
from heaven sent
my angel`s here...!

Sleeping Cat


I see a sleeping cat 
at the end of my bed
shaped like a crescent moon, 
what dreams in her head?

with legs stretched out 
and her tail curled round
she almost looks dead 
because she makes no sound

if you look carefully 
her breathe is very slow
such a little minx 
but I love her so

ears pricked up sharp 
as she lays at rest
looks so content 
if poked she would protest !

looks so tranquil there
but she knows what`s going on
don`t let her fool you
she thinks it`s so much fun

I see a snoozing cat 
who`s watchful of the day
peacefully sleeping
but alert in every way !

Language of Words !

Burn sentences so the words turn to dust

take each letter and cleanse the poetry I write

Let the blind see what the deaf can't hear

spurring on the lame to win the fight

So mix and spin the language of passion

creating pictures from deep within the mind

Spoken or written, let all the words flow

capturing them within the soul for us to find !

Autumn Afternoons...

Sat soaking up warmth from the afternoon sun
feeling relaxed as I ponder over my poetry
letting ink dance across crisp new paper
as pictures from my soul slowly come to life
filling my heart with sheer pleasure....!

A birthday is a special time
as you celebrate with family
looking over the year that`s passed
remembering good times happily

from setting up home in Bristol
and a new dream job for you
to making many great friends
who`ll be there your whole life through

travelling to family weddings
raising funds for your charity
all these make you who you are
for you see life with more clarity

so on this wonderful day 
we send you our love and cheer
wishing you a Happy Birthday
to last your through the whole year
