Nan

of all the wondrous gifts in life
whether they were big or small
was having you Nan with us
the greatest gift of all

your bright smile lit up the room
and your cuddles were the best
making us laugh when we were down
our lives with you were very blessed

then the angels came and took you
now you`re sadly missed each day
yet fond memories we still have
for in our hearts you`ll always stay

Future memories

Words from my heart dance across the pages
painting pictures from deep within my soul
so let the ink from my pen flow freely
creating new memories to hold on too
never forget the power of these words
for they will remain long after we`re gone...!

" The Blacksmith "

Fire, steel, rivets and hammer
dust, noise, red hot metal
anvil, tongs and sheer power
the blacksmith has it all

forge fired up and ready
with tools all standing by
leather apron now in place
anticipation is high

arc of sparks from the grinder
flash across the workshop
powering on through the day
working hard until you drop

hammer clashes down on metal
an air of expectation
as slowly the piece is formed
stand back and see his creation

Words from the heart

Words are part of us all
whether they're written or spoken
found deep within our souls
and once released...
paint picture from our hearts
giving life to our inner thoughts
forming memories for the future
to be cherished by special people.!

Waterfall

Down in the depths of the forest
From what seems to be the heavens
Water cascades down with such force
Moving mountains as it goes
Pouring gallons over the edge
Deep into the bowels of the earth
White foaming masses of volume
Thundering past the solid rocks
Covering the area with fine spray
Crashing into the waters below
Roaring, pouring
Bashing, crashing
Thunderous sounds
Never ceasing, always flowing
The waterfall just keeps on going

I saw a lovely photo of a tall waterfall and found it fascinating.  Such power and beauty at the same time.  The movement and flow, yet so destructive too.

Clockwork Heart

Cog wheels turning

round and round they go
clicking back and forth
what`s hidden below

A secret compartment
tucked away from eyes
forbidden too all
but the lover`s surprise

A token of love
a gift most clever
tiny clockwork heart
to be held for ever

a lovers token for the heart....!!

Happy Birthday Mummy

Love waking up to your bright eyes

go digging for a surprise
dressing up in my disguise
with my mum who`s kind and wise

Love your laughter when we play
so full of joy in very way
your smile brightens up the day
Mummy wishing you, Happy Birthday

Kisses and cuddles
Scruffy Princess xXx

Watching a blacksmith at work is amazing,
and I am honoured to have had the chance.
