Laughter!

Painted faces

custard pies

great big boots

and googly eyes

a funny smile

or great big grin

wicked laughter

and a wobbly chin

a silly joke

for us to share

slap stick fun

with all the flare

slippery slidey

banana skins

smiles and laughter

the fun begins

Lightning

Flash of light across the dark sky

illuminating the  garden`s wide spread

zig zagging after a clap of thunder

as the storm passes overhead

a symphony of sound to hear

electric pulses through the night

emotion felt deep within the soul

nature`s fireworks, a wondrous sight

each strike of lightning`s so unique

creating bright patterns to follow

 rumblings heard in the distance

as the storm continues to grow

nature`s battle through the night sky

large droplets of rain hits the ground

an atmosphere that blasts the senses

there`s nothing like it to be found

Our Holiday!!

Paper thin walls that hide nothing

narrow corridors with no windows

never enough storage or drawers

small beds with tiny flat pillows

al the shoes stored by the door way

fridge crammed full of all that`s needed

towels and swim things draped everywhere

normal rules need not be heeded

our car`s parked on a patch nearby

the play area`s across the site

a plot of grass outside our door

for our blanket, it fits just right!

no matter what the weather does

we will explore, visit and roam

having a great time on holiday

so for this week, this is our home !!

Frozen Fear

To stand still amongst a moving crowd

yet suffer terror from all around

as many conversations pass by

only a pulsing heart makes a sound

fear is a cruel emotion to feel

it encircles and slowly squeezes

the beating life that`s struggling

as cold sets in and then freezes

though the sun light is brightly felt

darkness engulfs such a weak spirit

as doubt and uncertainty sets in

 the mind plays games that spiral it

isolation from that comfort zone

tips you over the edge of sanity

to be locked in this state of sheer fear

grows strong, becoming reality

Fear

To stand still amongst a moving crowd

none notice each other

rooted to the spot

the world spins
tremblings

causing

fear!

At this moment....

At this moment, I feel  down and alone
angry with all the world throws at me
wondering what I did so wrong
to find myself in this dark misery

never a fun moment to bring a smile
never a surprise that`s so full laughter
just long drawn out days of loneliness
that appear endless, no happy ever after!

term that come`s to mind, is Motherhood
the endless round of chores and commitment
it`s not a job but a vocation for life
so fuelled by love I`ll show not resentment

when I feel down on these sort of days
I look to my memories and brush away the agony
then I`ll put on a smile and give my kids a hug
there`s nothing better than my wonderful family!
