Rainbows of Hope!

are what life is all about

sharing laughter together

comfort through the bad times

celebrating each other`s achievements

there throughout our lives

not always in sight

but eternally in our hearts.

Bumble Bee

Sunshine and blue skies

the scent of many flowers

busy in the sun`s warmth

as he collects pollen for hours

 buzzing through the afternoon

shimmering wings so bright

stripes of black and yellow

flashing in and out of sight

sparkling wings flickering
a wonderful sight to see
summertime has arrived
welcome little bumble bee!

Disappearing Snow Leopard

A desolate snow covered landscape 

where strong winds blast the rock face

with very little vegetation

what could survive in this cold place ?

this is a harsh environment

steep imposing cliffs meet the ground

where habitats give good camouflage

rare snow leopards maybe found

with lush thick white and yellow fur

marked by ringed spots of black on brown

watching all with such light green eyes

planning to bring their next prey down

snow leopards have beautifully long tails

paws adapted to walk on deep snow

able to ambush unsuspecting prey

by chasing down before the fatal blow

mostly active between dawn and dusk

this silent big cat that can`t roar

solitary by nature, `til breeding

their survival we must ensure

sadly these majestic creatures

are becoming such a rare sight

with the loss of their range and hunting

this means they are losing their fight

Summer

drifting across an ocean high
fluffy cotton shrouds
like rippling white waves
bobbing close by
to an orb so warm
shining so strong
casting shadows that reflect
the light of the heavens

Buzzing in the Breeze

Buzzing on the Breeze!

on a sunny afternoon

distant buzzing could be heard

wafting on a gentle breeze

sweet scents of flowers

enticing hard working bees

to seek nectar for themselves

hiding inside flower heads

collecting the reward

busy bees work all day

buzzing on the breeze!

Nursery Rhyme Land

Nursery Rhyme Land 

The Party

The owl and the pussy cat went to sea
they borrowed a yacht from the King of Hearts
dear Jack Horner was happy to steer the ship
Doctor Foster agreed to read the charts

so then they partied with all of their friends
everyone had an awesome time on board...
Miss Muffet served food, Mother Goose the drinks
while the dish and the spoon played a record

Humpty Dumpty danced with Little Bo Peep
then the Three Blind mice sang their favourite song
as the moon came up Cow wanted to play
so she teased the Tinkling Stars all night long!

the old king of Hearts was very upset
When he found out his yacht had gone to sea
He called his Queen and then sent out his guards
As he really wanted to join in the party!

So with everyone now safely aboard
they partied on happily through the night
all dancing away to the light of the moon
in Nursery Rhyme land, what an awesome sight !!
