Moonlight

soft moonlight shimmers over the sea

while following it`s nightly arc

casts shadows across the waves

ripples caught in it`s light

gentle soothing sounds

calming the soul

touched senses

moonlight

peace

Coffee Time

rich aroma of a strong coffee

filling my senses with pleasure

soothing power of the beans

awakening the soul

feeling  so alive

revitalized

enriching

Whirling World

The world all around me

spinning, racing, pounding

engulfing my emotions

smothering and drowning

trapped in a revolving cycle

feeling so much tension

irritation, resentment 

never any intervention 

life whirling faster and faster

vision blurred, can not undo

screaming from deep within

nowhere to escape too

sound pulsing through my veins

flooding my soul with pain

stop this speeding roundabout

will I ever find myself again?

   Batman came to school..

Batman came to school today

to learn his alphabet

brought an apple for his teacher

then sat down with the class pet

after lunch we played football

but his cape got in the way

back inside for art class

then home after a great day

Healing Cats

it always amazes me, 

how cats just know your moods

they come and show you love

whenever you need it most

sad news or illness 

they are always there

warming up your lap, 

nuzzling you and purring

when you really need it most

they have this sixth sense

its homes in on your needs

they are there like a shot

healing you with all their love

cats are amazing animals

they are there when it really counts

I adore my cats.....

I am the servant for two wonderful cats!!

Feline Friends

Dirty foot prints across my work top

neatly stacked papers knocked to the ground

a whisker lies there on the pillow

there has to be a cat some where around

hear a jingling of a tiny bell

the soft meow from inside a box

or a padding of paws across the boards

purring as steady as the house clocks

crashing of a vase that`s been knocked over

to the howling under the moon at night

our feline friends are part of the family

snuggled up asleep, so every thing`s alright

Nonsense of Life

When all is said and done

the final curtain`s down

pick up your kit bag now

come on and smile, don`t frown

the grass is greener there

at least that`s what I`m told

so I should go exploring

travel before I`m too old

a pint full of goodness

to help me on my way

humble pie to feed me

thank you, is what I say

have to spend to gain things

to give and not to ask

your mission will start here

so please complete the task

to fight is to conquer

the battle can be won

so look on the bright side

because life can be fun!!

Marriage

on this special day

as we exchange our vows

the future`s in our hands

as we step out together

thank you for loving me

now to build a life together
