Silent Wish

In a house full of people
never a sound to be heard
loneliness engulfs me
as nothing here has stirred

hearing music from afar
with a muffled beat and tone
then cheerful laughter too
yet I sit here all alone

wish I could change these walls
to woodland scenery
sounds of nature all about
thus relaxing leisurely  !
