This golden rose
that lays before me
with velvety petals
looking so beautiful
its sweet aroma
filling the room
then see the dark side
such harsh defenses
sharpness of thorns
on a slender stem
that can draw blood
such bitter sweetness
two sides of beauty
I see before me
coldness of thorns
sweetness of sight
this golden rose
natural beauty
