Shattered Dreams

I stand here a broken woman

 pride shattered beyond redemption

for where once I held my head high

 I only see your deception

really thought you believed in me

for you offered me your support

but when my world started to crumble

all encouragement was cut short

quick to leave me by the road side

and walk away never turning back

I was a nobody in your eyes

 clearly you were on a new track!

once I had my dreams and hopes..

there`s not much left for me to say

all I have are my shattered dreams

they`ll have to wait another day
