Cleansing Waters

let these waters flow over my body

washing away the sorrow I feel

cleansing my soul of this hurt

and letting the pain drain away

losing a best friend, a soulmate

leaving me alone in the world

never able to hear your voice 

nor feel safe in your strong arms

the pain of loss hangs over me
still bearing it`s heavy weight
so let these cleansing waters
and send me onto my fate.
