Ancient Twisted Tree

such an ancient tree

it`s bark so gnarled

spiralling upwards

each crevice rotating

to outspread branches

continually changing

standing so proud

after many years

amidst these gardens

through every season

dressed in moss

or bathed in sunlight

branches like fingers

pointing up to the sky

welcoming the weather

through each and every year

creating many homes

for nature`s creatures

as with great age

assistance is now needed

with sturdy supports

for sagging branches

this beautiful tree stands

a testament to nature!
