Tall elegant trees standing proud

in this striking autumn light

wearing coats of many colours

creating such a wondrous sight

with acorns, conkers and hazelnuts 

that make amazing accessories 

woven in and out of their attire

like old elaborate tapestries  

browns oranges, reds and yellows

in many different shapes and hues

for this annual show of glamour

nature creates beautiful views
