Wintry Sun

 Silent stillness bounds this place

blanket of snow muffles any sound

trees silhouetted by the sun

everything sparkling all around

branches fringed by shining twigs

are shimmering like white beards

sunlight flashes brightly through them

as the shadows disappears

clear bright blue skies above this scene

with a layer of snow everywhere

the sun like a spotlight shining

illuminating these trees with care

this image,  a moment in time

a winter postcard looking grand

bright sunshine shimmering on the snow

creating a magic wonderland
