Watching..

There was an event taking place here

but my attention was drawn to this pair

young man and his dog watched mesmerised

as intrigue and wonder filled the air

perched silently on the top of some steps

they are both wrapped up in the mystery

companionship and loyalty so strong

for would this event go down in history ...

don't look round, it may give it away!
