Heaven's Ocean

Rippling clouds reflected over beach
seen so clear, yet far out of reach

undulating patterns appear to fly
flowing freely across the sky

creating a spectacular show
as the waters ebb and flow

so as the sun dips out of sight
these clouds dissolve into the night

Life`s Paint Brush

Long soft bristles ready to be dipped

in many different colours of the pallet

painting all of nature around us

from blue oceans to high rocks of granite

as each stroke dances across the world

bringing to life many layers of creation

and brightening up our Mother Earth

through wide valleys to each small location

delicate butterfly wings that flutter

perfumed flowers exploding into bloom

life`s paint brush dances where it wishes

creating everything to fill nature`s room!

Poetry

Emotions expressed through words, painting pictures for people to read !

can be a way of releasing pressure and allowing passion to flow freely across a crisp sheet of paper, the flare of a pen letting the ink dance it`s merry way, until the poem is finished.

These emotions can vary from depression, darkness, a need to express sadness, grief or despair to passions about life, love and happiness.  

Though I took up writing after my husband lost his battle with cancer and was given his wings, I know he is still with me along the road I travel. He inspires me to help others and I hope that I will be able to continue to do this. Poetry helps to release emotions then simply words can not.

There are many different ways to write and I am learning all the time .... I hope this will carry on as I love to learn and explore different ways to let the ink in my pen flow.

Tiny Feet

Tiny feet mean so much

to hold gently and care for
 love and tenderly caress

encourage along life`s way

surround and then enclose

in protection, keep them safe

care for them and heal them

from danger and harms hurts

watch them grow and develop

show them independence 

let them go without a tear

no more soft cotton wool

good and healthy. fit and strong

all the love to live life through.

Summer Memories

sparkling light and fluffy feathers

a swish of breeze in sunny weathers

song birds singing from branches up high

blue skies, bright sun, oh for a gentle sigh

strawberries and cream served with lemonade

sat on a picnic blanket in the shade

children running, laughing all around

playing hide and seek until they`re found

shapes in the clouds or making daisy chains

watching the trails made by airplanes

these are the memories I hold so dear

wonderful summers from yesteryear!

Summer...!

Summer time is golden

in colours and emotions

warmth of sun on our skin

laughing at all commotions

picnics in the countryside

chasing butterflies through grass

curled up with a good book

with lemonade in a tall glass

lazy, relaxing holidays

watching the dogs at play

time spend with families

a great way to fill our day

as the evening descends

bright colours create a sight

time to relax and chat together

as sunny days turn to night
