Coffee Time

Sat here with my cup of latte

watching the world as it goes by

wondering whats on peoples minds

totally absorbed..wow..the time does fly

some people smile and say hello

other seem to be in such a haste

I imagine what they are doing

meetings, affairs, what have they faced?

some sit and slowly stir their coffees

one texting..a loved one maybe..

others chatting, they`ve so much to say

it`s enjoyable, to sit and see !

quiet music in the background

sets the mood and helps time to flow

gentle murmurs of all the voices

watching people, pass by, then go !!

Springtime, Mother Nature`s waking up

Spring Time

Blossom scent in the air
sweet smelling tulips
frog`s spawn in the pond
all signs that spring is here
bluebells and caterpillars
the gardens come to life
longer days and shorter nights
sitting out in the afternoon sun
listening to the bird calls
watching my cats play
relaxing in the sunshine
enjoying this spring time.

Little heads waving blue bonnets 

carpeting the woodland floor

frills of bright green bordering 

filling our hearts with joys of spring

dappled sunlight lifts the spirit

filtering through the trees

spotlighting the mystery of spring

bringing nature alive !

Cheeky Squirrels

 a quick glimpse of a fluffy tail

flickering amongst the trees 

scurrying up and down trunks

scampering through the leaves

these sweet innocent creatures

are not all that they appear!

they`re mischievously cheeky

and trouble when they`re near

watching their playful romping

searching for their winter hoard

burying them yet forgetting where

there`s plenty of nuts to be stored

as nature dresses up for autumn

these cheeky squirrels do not care

for each day is filled with playtime

as they race around everywhere!

Everybody has their own path to tread, each one is different, we meet people along the way, some pass by, some walk with us a while, some even stay,  supporting each other.  We all have our own paths of life and goals to reach.

Path of life

Loneliness on the path of life

feeling like a solitary tree

there`s miles and miles of road ahead

but nothing helpful here for me

should I turn back or carry on

I`m not sure that I really care

each way seems too barren to me

stuck in the middle of nowhere

I just need a friend to talk to

an arm to lean on, once in a while

someone to show me, I`m ok

the courage to walk tall in style

my friend, oh friend take care of me

let me rest here for a short time

when strength is with me once again

I`ll continue my journey`s rhyme.

Liquid State!

With the stage coming alive

as the venue begins to roar

feeding this electric atmosphere

now the volume starts to soar

feel the beat hit your chest

through an explosion of light

vocals, drums, guitar and bass

creating a memorable night!

penetrating lyrics heard

vibrating through the floor

above strings of sheer passion

jubilant followers want more

headbanging, arms swaying
everybody`s  rocking their feet
Liquid State, so  amazing!
performing to their heavy beat
