Chosen Path

I thought
I could trust you
let you see
my inner feelings
yet now I know
you couldn't care less

I wasn't important
not worthy
you believed you better
above the rest
you'd been blessed
for a higher path......

I can not believe
you could be so cruel
take my dignity
trample over me
disrespectfully
then walk away

How I resent you
see you for real
who you really are
bitter, selfish
that you've become
not the man I knew.....
