Cancerous Pain

I loved you so much
thought we'd be together
for ever and a day
but oh man...
cancer came and took you
stripped you of life
and sent you far away

God..... it's so unfair
for our love was strong
you battled on as best you could
for what seemed too long
you never complained once..!

Sadly you lost your fight
so the angels came and took you
hand in hand towards the light
free from all pain and misery...
it's hard for the ones left behind

Miss you so much!
