Stolen Memories

Memories are important 

life's journey to hold on to

through the twilight years

 family events to remember

from weddings to Christmases 

don`t want them to disappear

Alzheimer's steals memories

slowing emptying the mind 

as a life time is wiped clear 

Mother, I know you`re still there

though you don`t remember me

I`ll always hold your love so dear!
