Cheetahs

These amazing cats are found in sub-Saharan Africa

open grassy savannah plains are they roam freely

pale yellow coats with black spots through to their skin

white underbelly that gives them camouflage, thats so easy

cheetahs are known as the fastest animal in the world

their bodies have evolved to make them speed sprinters 

with long legs, elongated spine and enlarged heart and lungs

adapted claws that work as runner`s spikes, they`re winners

fierce felines that hunt by day to avoid other large predators

feeding off warthogs, springbok and gazelles, they`re effective

social cats found in groups but remain solitary when on the hunt 

at one with their surroundings, hunter and prey are connected

sadly these magnificent felines are critically in danger

we need to change our attitude toward this elegant creature

the loss of their territories and continued hunting

we all need to live on the planet together, man and nature!
