Found this old poem I write many years ago and I can see how much my writing has changed.  Remember those Lazy August days with my kids too!!

 

 

Summer holidays

 

Those lazy August days

hiding from the rain

finding different ways

for the kids to entertain

 

vivid sticky painted hands

newspaper on the floor

for when disaster lands

they`re always wanting more

 

building things with Lego

creating new landscapes

not forgetting Primo

brightly coloured shapes

 

then it`s time for tea

after clearing up the mess

laughing,smiling, full of glee

as kids are full of happiness
