Why do we torture ourselves?
its something we seem to do
put barriers in our pathways
and then wonder why we're blue!
See obstacles, where there are none
find excuses why we can not go
no faith in what we can achieve
we don't give ourselves space to grow
Though our journey through life is rough
and our road will be hard and long
deep down we know there is strength
so we can walk with pride and be strong
Never let people get under your skin
for this will only breed doubt
we should follow our hearts desire
don't be bullied or pushed about
Remember we only have one life
we should live it to the best
so the moral of this poem....
be content, for we are all blessed!!
