Eyes.....

I see....
a bright set of eyes
watching me
through the dark
wondering
what's out there
so inquisitive
of the world
slowly blinking
at the light...

I hear...
distant eerie noises
claws scratching
on the ground
so hesitant
is there danger
to be found?
hungry to discover
yet nervous
of the world....

I sense...
a deep curiosity
what is lurking
in the dark
contemplating
its every move
testing the air
is it safe
to move outside
into the world......
