Darkness

In the silence of the night
peace of heart is what I seek
though in the deep darkness
a tear runs down my cheek

no sound is felt at all
for everything is still
just the beating of my heart
thankful it`s not lost its will

memories of times past
tugging hard at my heart strings
where has all the love gone
wonder what the future brings

so until the dawn appears
let my tears flow freely
for though my joy has gone
I can still see clearly !
