Lockdown loneliness is very real ☹

Lockdown

With this Coronavirus

and a house full of voices

I have never felt more lonely

sat here with little choices

oh there's plenty for me to do

shopping or washing up the dishes

laundry or hoovering carpets

but their not on my list of wishes

sat here with a snoozing cat

I should be ticking off a chore

while kids just chill in their rooms

I dreamt that they'd help more

it must be dinner time again

they'll be wondering what's for tea

rummaging through the freezer

where would they be without me?

then it`s back again to silence

only distant voices are heard

kids disperse around the house

world of lockdown is just absurd!
