It`s that time of year again
when thoughts turn to the family
I catch sight of your photograph
your cheeky smile, as you look at me !

bringing back memories of happier time 
previous festive times together
with good food and laughter
we thought it would go on forever

so as I sit there wrapping presents
secretly wishing you were here
would you be my valentine gift 
and visit me each coming year ?
