City Landscape

City landscapes are so diverse
a great mixture of old and new
tall steeples next to office blocks
competing for the skies so blue!

Concrete buildings stand side by side
rows of windows reflecting light
emotionless places to see
but come alive when lit at night

this urban sprawl spreads further
a green oasis found within
surrounded by fierce industry
puffing grime over all our skin

wildlife struggle to survive
scavenging where ever they can
in this rocky concrete world
keeping out of the way of man

this urban world has many secrets
that are hidden from general view
different scenes around each corner
but will throw up something new too


each city is different and there are so many things to see....!
