Mornings.....!

Bright lights shining through my curtains

whole sky full of vibrant hues

birds chirping with the dawn`s chorus

laying here, just wanting to snooze

colours of the sky have changed now

waking to the full rays of the sun

I'm ready for what's thrown at me

hope it's full of laughter and fun

daffodils are flowering in the kitchen

and tulips blooming in the front yard

as the sun beats down upon my shoulders

my garden's looking just like a postcard

sweet aroma of fresh coffee fills the air
and the crunch of toast as I sit and eat

a morning paper rests beside me
the start of the day is now complete
