Mother`s Wish....

I`m not a confident
sort of woman
just always there 
in the background
serving the household
no trumpets or fanfares

I`m a wimp, a coward
unsure of the unknown
hate confrontation
no arguments please, just quiet
nose to the grind stone
nothing special about me

I`m the house manager
keeping things ticking over
performing mundane jobs
cooking, cleaning, caring
shopping even chauffeur too, 
what every is needed

I`m also an individual
who has emotions
so there`s only one thing
I will ask of you all
a "please" and a "thank you"
and maybe an....." I love you" !
