Glass

A pane of glass
crystal clear
eye on the world
or maybe my back garden
watching me cat
pawing at the glass
is this a mirror...
confusing to animal
can be quite old
flat and smooth
yet lean and mean
protection for the elements
keeps the cold out
shelter from the sun
lighting up my world
the beauty of a window pane !
